Eicher Motors' VECV Arm Reports 29.3% Rise in June Sales; Total Volume Reaches 9,519 Units
VE Commercial Vehicles Limited's total sales rose 29.3% in June 2026 to 9,519 units, driven by strong domestic truck demand and export growth, while bus sales showed a mixed performance across segments.
VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), the unlisted commercial vehicle subsidiary of Eicher Motors Limited, reported total sales of 9,519 units for June 2026, a 29.3% increase over 7,363 units sold in the same month last year, according to a regulatory filing made by Eicher Motors to the BSE and National Stock Exchange of India on July 1, 2026.
The company's total Eicher Trucks and Buses segment, which includes electric vehicles, recorded sales of 9,269 units in June 2026, up 28.8% from 7,198 units in June 2025.
Domestic sales across the Eicher truck and bus portfolio stood at 8,595 units in June, marking a 27.9% year-on-year increase from 6,722 units. Within the domestic segment, sales of SCV/LMD trucks (below 18.5 tonnes) rose 37.9% to 4,366 units, while heavy-duty trucks (18.5 tonnes and above) grew 21.6% to 2,139 units.
Bus sales showed a divergent trend. LMD bus sales increased 21.1% to 1,958 units, while HD bus sales declined 26.7% to 132 units compared to 180 units in the year-ago period.
VECV's total exports rose 41.6% to 674 units in June 2026 from 476 units a year earlier. Export growth was led by a sharp rise in heavy-duty vehicle exports, which jumped 384.2% to 92 units, and bus exports, which grew 72.6% to 202 units. SCV/LMD exports increased 11.8% to 380 units.
Sales under the Volvo Trucks and Buses banner rose 51.5% to 250 units in June 2026, compared to 165 units in June 2025.
For the financial year 2026-27 (April–June, YTD), total VECV sales stood at 24,815 units, up 14.8% from 21,610 units in the corresponding period of 2025-26. Total domestic sales grew 15.4% to 22,767 units, while total exports were nearly flat, rising 1.0% to 1,450 units. On a segment basis, YTD LMD bus sales rose 5.4% to 5,820 units, while HD bus sales fell 36.4% to 306 units. Export bus volumes for the year declined 24.8% to 270 units, even as export HD volumes more than doubled, rising 112.0% to 318 units.
Total Volvo Trucks and Buses sales for the year-to-date period rose 36.8% to 598 units from 437 units in the prior year.
