Ducati India has begun operations at a new service-only facility in Ahmedabad, marking another step in the brand's efforts to strengthen its after-sales network across the country. The workshop, operated by authorised dealer FuelMoto Works, is located at Survey No. 163/2, beside JJ Motors Road, LJ College Road, Makarba, Ahmedabad — an area chosen for its accessibility to riders across the city and the broader Gujarat region.

The facility spans approximately 2,800 square feet and includes two automated service bays, a section dedicated to Ducati apparel and merchandise, and a customer lounge. Services on offer cover routine maintenance, accidental repairs, and the fitment and display of genuine Ducati parts and accessories, with the company stating that all work will be carried out to its global service standards.

The Ahmedabad outlet is the second of its kind in India, following the launch of a comparable service-only facility in Goa. The format is distinct from a conventional dealership in that it focuses exclusively on after-sales support rather than new motorcycle sales. This model allows Ducati to establish a service presence in cities where the economics of a full showroom may be harder to justify, while still catering to existing owners who require regular maintenance and repairs.

Bipul Chandra, Managing Director at Ducati India, described the opening as "a pivotal step in strengthening Ducati's after-sales ecosystem in India." He pointed to Ahmedabad's riding culture and increasing appetite for premium motorcycles as factors behind the choice of location, and said the new setup reflects the company's focus on ownership experience beyond the point of sale. Harsh Soni, Dealer Principal at FuelMoto Works, said his team was "committed to upholding Ducati's global standards of service and precision," and described the facility as a reflection of FuelMoto Works' long-term relationship with the brand.

The expansion comes at a time when India's premium and luxury motorcycle market has been gaining momentum. Brands in the segment have increasingly looked beyond the country's largest metros, recognising that demand for high-end motorcycles has spread to Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. Gujarat, with Ahmedabad as its commercial hub, has seen a notable rise in interest in performance and lifestyle motorcycles in recent years.

Ducati, founded in Bologna, Italy, in 1926, is a subsidiary of Audi AG and manufactures its motorcycles at its plant in Borgo Panigale. The brand has a long history in motorsport and currently competes in both the MotoGP World Championship and the Superbike World Championship. In 2023, Ducati won titles in both series, along with the Supersport World Championship — the second consecutive year it achieved the MotoGP and WorldSBK double. The company is also the sole supplier of electric motorcycles for the FIM MotoE World Cup through 2026, an initiative that marks its entry into competitive electric racing.

In India, Ducati operates through a network of dealerships and service points concentrated in major urban centres. The service-only format represents an attempt to extend that footprint without the full capital commitment of a traditional dealership, and signals that the company sees room for continued growth in markets outside the established metros.
