Dhoot Transmission Names Naveen Kumar as Group CEO
Kumar brings over 30 years of experience across the automotive, manufacturing and technology sectors.
Auto component manufacturer Dhoot Transmission Group has appointed Naveen Kumar as its Group Chief Executive Officer as part of its plan to strengthen leadership and accelerate global growth. In this role, he will report to Founder and Managing Director Rahul Dhoot.
Kumar brings over 30 years of experience across the automotive, manufacturing and technology sectors. He has held senior positions focused on expansion, operational restructuring and international partnerships.
Before joining Dhoot Transmission, he served as Group CEO of Napino Auto & Electronics. During his tenure, the company scaled revenues, improved operational performance, set up a research and development centre and entered global joint ventures with companies such as Continental AG and ZF TRW.
Commenting on the appointment, Rahul Dhoot said the company expects Kumar’s experience and leadership to support its next phase of development. “His extensive leadership experience, vision for innovation, and proven ability to deliver sustainable growth make him the ideal choice to lead Dhoot Transmission into its next chapter,” Dhoot said.
Kumar holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education and has completed a senior management programme at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
The appointment comes as the company focuses on advancing its strategic plans centred on innovation, competitiveness and global expansion.
Founded in 1999, Dhoot Transmission Group has evolved into a major supplier of wiring harnesses for two- and three-wheelers and a range of commercial, off-road, farm and electric vehicles. Over the past 25 years, it has diversified into automotive switches, connection systems, advanced electronic components and electric mobility solutions, including charging equipment and battery assemblies.
