Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga project to get commissioned in H12024
The company is also setting up India's first carbon fibre facility at Hazira.
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries, said that the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga complex in Jamnagar, Gujarat, is likely to get commissioned in the first half of 2024.
"This will generate green material and products for Green, a leading exporter of green products. We are ready to commission it in the second half of 2024 itself," Ambani said during his speech at the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Summit, which kicked off on Wednesday.
Five giga factories for photovoltaic panels, fuel cell systems, green hydrogen, energy storage, and power electronics have been planned at the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex, which is spread over 5,000 acres in Jamnagar.
The company is also setting up India's first carbon fibre facility at Hazira.
According to Ambani, Reliance Industries has invested over $150 billion, or Rs 12 lakh crore, in creating assets and facilities across India over the past ten years. Of this, more than one-third has been invested in Gujarat alone.
"Reliance will continue to play a leading role in Gujarat's growth story with significant investments in the next 10 years," he noted.
"Reliance will work to make Gujarat a global leader in green growth. We will help Gujarat meet half of its energy needs through renewable energy by 2030," he further added.
