Data Patterns Selects Siemens Software for Product Lifecycle Management

Data Patterns (India) Ltd., a defense and aerospace electronics solutions provider, has selected Siemens Digital Industries Software's Teamcenter and Polarion ALM solutions from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to integrate its design, development and manufacturing operations.

Data Patterns will replace its current system with Teamcenter software as a unified platform for mechanical, electrical, electronic and software domains. The company will simultaneously migrate to Polarion ALM software to automate compliance solutions and streamline certification processes for safety-critical avionics software.

Acording to the company, the implementation aims to create digital threads connecting real-time data across engineering, design, development and manufacturing teams. Data Patterns expects the integration to accelerate go-to-market times, reduce cycle times and improve product quality for high-reliability safety and mission-critical electronics.

The Polarion ALM software will enable Data Patterns to meet certification standards including DO-178C Compliance for avionics software and DO-254 Compliance for airborne electronic hardware design assurance. The solutions will help certify FPGAs, PLDs and ASICs while ensuring safety and reliability of electronic components.

"We are convinced that Siemens' PLM and ALM will suit our ambitious growth plan and naturally fit in with our vision in developing turnkey defense and aerospace systems to address worldwide market and to ensure India's Atmanirbhar Bharat objectives," said Vijay Ananth, Chief Operating Officer, Data Patterns. "This migration will accelerate further our product development and enhance internal and external stakeholder engagement."

Mathew Thomas, vice president and managing director for India, Siemens Digital Industries Software, said, "Data Patterns strives to become a leader in India's defense and aerospace industries and establish India's global footprint in these markets with complex, high-reliability electronics products, systems and solutions - and we are proud they chose our scalable PLM and ALM software from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to achieve these goals."

The software implementation supports Data Patterns' expansion plans in defense, aerospace and meteorological industries. The company serves as both a product OEM and integrated electronics solutions provider, focusing on high-reliability applications.

Data Patterns operates manufacturing and testing facilities that will benefit from the standardized data and processes enabled by the Siemens software platform. The integration addresses the company's specific requirements for complex electronics development in regulated industries.

Siemens Digital Industries Software provides digitalization solutions through its Xcelerator business platform, combining software, hardware and services to optimize design, engineering and manufacturing processes across industries.
