Satara-based Cooper Corporation has commenced exports of its gas-powered gensets to international markets, starting with bulk consignments to the United States and Japan. The company’s 10 kVA and 25 kVA gensets, certified by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), are the first of their kind to be exported from India.

The 25 kVA variant, in particular, has received initial interest from the American market. In Japan, Cooper is supplying its V-Twin LPG 10 kVA gensets through a partnership with Japanese firm Sinfonia. These developments are part of Cooper’s broader plans to expand its presence in the global power solutions industry.

Chairman and Managing Director Farrokh N. Cooper stated that the shipments represent a key step in the company’s global strategy and reflect its compliance with international environmental standards.

On the domestic front, Cooper’s engines have been used by the Indian Defence Forces for over a decade, including during Operation Sindoor. In February 2025, the company launched a 50 HP tractor that has generated interest in the agricultural sector.

Cooper Corporation has a longstanding presence in the American genset market, with over three decades of exports. Headquartered in Satara, the company was founded by Sir Dhanjishah B. Cooper, the first Chief Minister from the region. The company continues to expand its global footprint while maintaining its focus on engineering and manufacturing in India.
