CNH, a global manufacturer of agricultural and construction equipment, has previewed its first Made-in-India compact tractor from its Greater Noida plant. The development is part of the company’s plan to position India as a centre for manufacturing, technology, and exports.

India is one of CNH’s fastest-growing markets. The company has identified four priorities for its operations in the country: expanding localized manufacturing for domestic and global markets, developing India as a global technology and R&D hub, growing market share through localized product offerings, and using Indian engineering expertise to deliver solutions at competitive costs.

Currently, CNH exports products made in India to more than 80 countries. Its India Technology Centre in Gurugram, which employs over 700 engineers, is set to become the company’s largest global technology facility. The centre is equipped with multi-vehicle simulators, virtual and extended reality labs, and advanced prototyping tools to support CNH’s global product pipeline.

The company has announced plans to double its tractor market share in India under the New Holland brand within the next five years. This will be driven by a wider range of localized products, particularly in the 30–50 HP category, which are designed to meet the needs of Indian farmers.

CNH operates three manufacturing facilities in India — in Greater Noida, Pune, and Pithampur — producing tractors, harvesters, balers, rakes, engines, compactors, loader backhoes, and excavators. Its nationwide dealer network supports sales and service operations across agriculture and construction equipment.

Gerrit Marx, CEO of CNH, said India is a cornerstone of the company’s global growth strategy, while Narinder Mittal, President and Managing Director, India, highlighted the company’s investments in manufacturing, technology, and sourcing under the government’s “Make in India” vision.

CNH Industrial, listed on the New York Stock Exchange, employs over 35,000 people globally. Its brands include Case IH, New Holland Agriculture, Case and New Holland Construction Equipment, STEYR, Raven, Hemisphere, Flexi-Coil, Miller, and Eurocomach.
