In view of the issues of climate change and global warming, CM Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to implement the Green Hydrogen Policy to encourage clean and green energy production sources in the state, as per a press release issued by the Chief Minister's office, ANI reported.

On reviewing the draft policy, the chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said that inputs should be taken from all the concerned parties working in this sector, ANI noted.

The Chief Minister stated that green hydrogen, being a clean energy source, helps in achieving net zero target and must be encouraged.

ANI noted that there are instructions to give maximum incentives for companies working in the green hydrogen sector, to encourage them.

Such benefits include availability of land, exeption from stamp and electricity duty, and capital and interest subsidy to name a few, ANI noted.

It further noted that officials have also been asked to look at the related policies of various states before finalising the policy.
