Cityflo has partnered with fleet management provider Aaveg to deploy electric buses in Delhi NCR, marking the mobility platform's first electric vehicle initiative in the capital region. The partnership was announced on July 22, 2025.
Under the agreement, Aaveg will own and maintain the electric buses while Cityflo manages customer operations including route planning, booking systems, and service delivery through its platform. The electric buses operate under the Cityflo brand name.
The buses are currently running on routes connecting Rohini to DLF Cyber City and Sohna Road, serving corridors with high passenger demand. Cityflo reports that early passenger feedback has been positive regarding punctuality, comfort, and reliability metrics.
Rushabh Shah, Chief Business Officer and Co-founder of Cityflo, stated that the partnership combines clean energy with technology-enabled operations to provide an alternative to driving in traffic or using crowded metro services during peak hours.
Vivek Laroia, CEO of Aaveg, described the collaboration as bringing together operational scale and sustainability focus with Cityflo's expertise in technology-driven bus networks and customer service.
Cityflo operates bus services in Mumbai and Hyderabad in addition to Delhi. The company has set a target to electrify at least 20% of its fleet by fiscal year 2026, with plans to increase this percentage as battery technology and charging infrastructure develop in Indian cities.
The partnership represents Cityflo's hybrid expansion model, which combines operational control with fleet partnerships to scale services across multiple cities. Aaveg focuses on corporate and public transport through electric vehicle adoption and resource optimization.
Cityflo positions itself as a mobility platform and bus operator working to create what it describes as a clean, reliable, and intelligent transportation system for Indian urban areas.
