Citroen Basalt X to be revealed on September 5
Basalt X will be the new top trim; prices will be announced a little later.
Citroen will reveal the upcoming Basalt X SUV on September 5, with price announcement and other details expected at a later stage. Recently, the brand released teaser images hinting at the upgrades on the Basalt X. As with other Citroen X models, the update will primarily be cosmetic, likely including a new dashboard pattern, bronze accents, and similar detailing on the AC vents.
Positioned as the new top model in the Basalt line-up, the Basalt X is expected to come with added features such as keyless entry, push-button start/stop, an optional 360-degree camera, and a new Garnet Red exterior shade. However, no mechanical changes are expected, meaning the SUV will continue with the 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that develops 110hp and 190Nm with the manual gearbox, or 205Nm when paired with the 6-speed torque converter automatic.
