Citroën India to Pass Full GST Reduction Benefits to Customers

Citroën India will pass on the complete benefits of the recent GST reduction to customers across its entire vehicle portfolio, with revised prices taking effect from September 22, 2025, when the new tax rates come into force. The French automaker announced substantial price drops across all models following the government's GST structure rationalization for passenger vehicles.

The C3 and C3X models will see reductions of up to ₹84,000, with prices starting at ₹4.80 lakh (ex-showroom). The Aircross SUV range will be up to ₹50,000 cheaper across both 5-seater and 7-seater variants, while the Basalt and Basalt X models will start at ₹7.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The C5 Aircross SUV offers the largest savings of nearly ₹2.7 lakh, with the Shine variant now priced at ₹37.32 lakh (ex-showroom).

"The reduction in GST on passenger vehicles is a welcome reform that will expand access to safe, modern, and efficient mobility across India. At Citroën, we remain committed to supporting this initiative by ensuring our customers enjoy the complete benefit of this reduction. By passing on the savings in full, we aim to make our vehicles more accessible across segments, while encouraging new buyers and accelerating adoption during the festive season," said Kumar Priyesh, Director-Automotive Brands, Stellantis India.

The GST reform coincides with the festive period including Onam, Anant Chaturdashi, Navratri, Eid and Diwali, which is expected to boost demand and accelerate industry growth beyond earlier forecasts.

The company noted that exact savings may vary depending on model and variant, with benefits based on the revised GST rates.
