Citroën India launches limited-edition Aircross Xplorer SUV
The Aircross line has played an important role in Citroën’s efforts to gain a foothold in India’s expanding SUV market.
Citroën India introduced the Aircross Xplorer edition, a limited-edition version of its Aircross SUV, available at a starting price of ₹8.49 lakh. This new variant adds several features aimed at enhancing the vehicle’s appeal to customers interested in unique design elements and added functionality.
The Aircross Xplorer includes a dashcam, footwell lighting, illuminated sill plates, a hood garnish, body decals, khaki color inserts, and the option for rear-seat entertainment.
The Xplorer edition also comes with two exclusive packages. The Standard Pack, priced at ₹24,000, offers additional benefits, while the Optional Pack, priced at ₹51,700, includes rear-seat entertainment with a dual-port adapter.
Citroën India’s Brand Director, Shishir Mishra said the Aircross Xplorer edition aligns with Citroën’s aim to enhance customer journeys, bringing a unique look and feature set to the mid-size SUV market. “As a mid-SUV with standout design and unique features, it brings a spirit of adventure while keeping the signature Citroën comfort. This limited edition offers an unmatched driving experience, perfect for those who want to make a statement on the road, he added.
The Aircross Xplorer edition is available across Citroën’s 86 La Maison showrooms in India and can also be booked online through the Citroën India website.
The Citroën Aircross series, particularly the C3 Aircross, is Citroën India’s entry into the competitive subcompact and mid-size SUV segments. Citroën, a French automaker with a long history of producing uniquely designed vehicles, officially entered the Indian market in 2021.
The Aircross line has been a significant part of Citroën’s strategy to capture a share of India’s growing SUV market, which has seen an increased preference for versatile, high-clearance vehicles with features that appeal to a wide range of customers. The C3 Aircross was introduced in India as Citroën’s first local production model.
