CII organises curtain raiser for December launch of NexGen Mobility Show
The exhibition will focus on future mobility, battery technology and charging infrastructure, alternative fuel, smart and sustainable infrastructure, and mobility-as-a-service models.
In the run-up to the maiden CII NexGen Mobility Show 2023 scheduled on 15-16 December 2023, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised a curtain raiser in Pune, Maharashtra, yesterday.
The two-day CII NexGen Mobility Exhibition 2023 in Pune, Maharashtra will delve into various facets of future mobility, including electric vehicles, connected and autonomous technologies, battery technology and charging infrastructure, alternative fuel, smart and sustainable infrastructure, and mobility-as-a-service models.
The show spread across a 4000 sqm exhibition area is expected to witness over 100 exhibitors representing domestic and international brands. More than 3000 focused business visitors from the industry, trade, and government are expected to attend the show. These two days will be specially focused on Automotive, Fuel of Future and Urban Mobility sector. There will be Technology Forums, Futuristic and Concept Vehicles on display along with Interactive Tech Demonstrations besides product launches.
Arvind Goel, Chairman, CII NexGen Mobility Show 2023 & CII WR Taskforce on Future Mobility & Chairman, Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd stated that “The Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme in the Automotive and Auto Components sectors, proposes financial incentives which will boost the domestic manufacturing of advanced automotive technology products and solutions and will certainly attract investments in the automotive manufacturing value chain.”
Dr Sanjay G. Kolte, IAS, Chairman, CII Urban Mobility Show 2023 & CEO, Pune Smart City Development stated that "Pune Smart City Development Corporation Ltd (PSCDCL) has laid an emphasis on smart mobility through its initiatives like Smart e-buses which have helped in bringing about sustainable and efficient transport. Adaptive Traffic Management System which will modernize and synchronise the traffic signals. Through road redesign works, footpaths and cycle tracks have been provided to enhance the pedestrian experience and promote non-motorised transport. CII NextGen Mobility Show will be instrumental in promoting smart and sustainable urban mobility solutions."
Rajesh Khatri, Co-chair, CII WR Taskforce on Future Mobility & President & Chief Executive Officer, Fiat India Automobiles Private Ltd stated that "The Indian automotive industry is at a cusp of a disruptive yet very exciting phase. It is poised to become the world’s third largest market by 2030. Several mega trends that will define and shape Future Mobility are – accelerated electrification, cleaner fuels, connected cars, autonomous vehicles, shared mobility, Bharat NCAP, Self-reliant digitally integrated Supply Chain, light weighting, use of alternate materials etc.”
The CII NexGen Mobility Show 2023 invites industry stakeholders, policymakers, innovators, researchers, and mobility enthusiasts to be a part of this transformative show in Pune.
