CIE Automotive to Consolidate Aluminium Die-Casting Arm into Parent Company
CIE Automotive secures NCLT nod to absorb wholly owned unit, bundling lightweight castings for two-wheeler and passenger vehicle OEMs.
CIE Automotive India announced that it is consolidating its domestic aluminium die-casting business directly into the parent company, following an order from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Mumbai Bench allowing its merger application.
The restructuring absorbs wholly-owned subsidiary CIE Aluminium Casting India Limited into the parent entity with an appointed date of April 1, 2026.
CIE says the integration directly addresses OEM sourcing shifts, where vehicle makers in the two-wheeler and passenger car domains are seeking full-system, lightweight aluminium assemblies to improve efficiency and reduce vehicular curb weight.
"The merger will facilitate improved leveraging of manufacturing and marketing capacities through coordinated capacity planning, optimisation and load balancing across facilities," the company stated, adding that the merger is expected to "enhance cross-selling opportunities across the OEM relationships of both entities."
