CCPA to investigate Ola Electric over product standards, service: Report
The previous month, CCPA had sent the e-scooter maker a notice asking for an explanation after receiving 10,000 complaints, the newswire noted.
India's product certification agency Central Consumer Protection Authority will investigate Ola Electric's deficiency in standards and product issues, the consumer affairs secretary told Reuters, on November, 14, 2024.
The previous month, CCPA had sent the e-scooter maker a notice asking for an explanation after receiving 10,000 complaints, the newswire noted.
Ola had noted that it had resolved 99.1% of the complaints, the newswire noted.
Upon reviewing that response, the CCPA has asked the Bureau of Indian Standards to conduct a detailed investigation into the issue.
Reuters could not elicit a timely response from Ola Electric on the issue.
The increasing complaints and ensuring regulatory scrutiny have cast a shadow on Ola Electric, following a stellar listing in August.
