Cars24 partners with Lawyered for streamlined traffic challan resolution
Cars24, India’s largest used-car selling brand, has integrated LOTS from Lawyered to offer a Traffic Challan solution aimed at simplifying the challan resolution process.
Lawyered, a platform offering on-road legal assistance, announced its partnership with Cars24. This collaboration aims to provide a seamless challan resolution experience for vehicles sold through Cars24. As part of the partnership, Cars24 will incorporate Lawyered’s LOTS (Lawyer On-The-Spot) system to address and resolve challan-related matters, streamlining the process for faster car sales.
Challan clearance is an essential part of the used car sales process in India. It is mandatory for all outstanding challans to be resolved before a vehicle sale can be completed. Unsettled challans often vary in amount and structure across different states, making the process complex. The integration of LOTS helps sellers ensure their vehicles are compliant with legal requirements, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing potential costs related to delays in sales.
Lawyered’s end-to-end challan resolution service for Cars24 will employ a multi-step approach to streamline the process. The system will handle the identification, tracking, and clearing of all challans, ensuring that any outstanding fines are settled prior to the vehicle’s sale. In cases where challan amounts are considered excessive or unfair, Lawyered’s legal team will assist by contesting these charges on behalf of Cars24’s customers.
Himanshu Gupta, Founder & CEO of Lawyered, explained that LOTS offers a Pan India solution for on-road legal compliance. The integration with Cars24 allows sellers to efficiently manage their legal obligations while focusing on their operations. The system’s capabilities include incident tracking in real-time and the ability to search and resolve various challan types.
Through this partnership, Cars24 aims to improve the overall selling experience for its customers by simplifying the challan resolution process. Lawyered will manage both central and traffic department challans across India and provide Cars24 with a real-time dashboard for monitoring and resolving incidents. This ensures transparency and provides insights into the status of challans and other related matters.
