BYD India will increase prices across its electric passenger vehicle portfolio from July 1, 2026, with the revision expected to range between 1-2 per cent depending on the model and variant.
The company said the price hike is being implemented due to sustained foreign exchange fluctuations. Customers who book vehicles during May and June 2026 will continue to receive current pricing, provided deliveries are completed on or before July 31, 2026. Bookings made from July 1 onwards will attract the revised prices.
Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles business at BYD India, said the revision was linked to forex movements while adding that the company continues to see demand for models such as the BYD Atto 3 and Sealion 7 in the Indian market.
BYD currently sells models including the Atto 3 and the recently introduced Sealion 7 in India. The company also highlighted its in-house technologies, such as the Blade Battery, Cell-to-Body integration and 8-in-1 electric powertrain, which are used across its EV range.
The automaker said it continues to expand its retail and service footprint in India, with 48 dealerships spread across 40 cities.
