BYD India marks 11 years of electric mobility, extends ATTO 3 pricing offer
BYD India celebrates a decade since introducing India's first electric bus. With over 600 bookings for new ATTO 3 variants in a month, the company extends its introductory pricing. Globally, BYD rises in Fortune 500 rankings and reports significant production of New Energy Vehicles.
BYD India, a subsidiary of BYD, commemorates 11 years since introducing its first electric bus in Chennai on August 20th, 2013.
The company reports that its new BYD ATTO 3 variants and Cosmos Black edition have received over 600 bookings within a month. In response, BYD India has extended the introductory price offer for the BYD ATTO 3 Dynamic variant.
Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles Business at BYD India, stated that the response to the new variants reflects the increasing demand for advanced electric vehicles in India. He mentioned that the extended pricing offer aims to make the vehicles more accessible to potential buyers.
Globally, BYD has moved to the 143rd position in the Fortune Global 500 rankings and remains in the Top 10 global automotive brands according to the Kantar BrandZ Most Valuable Global Brands 2024 report. The company reports having manufactured over 8 million New Energy Vehicles globally, which it states has contributed to a reduction of over 62 billion kilograms of carbon emissions.
The BYD ATTO 3 is an all-electric SUV introduced to the Indian market by BYD India. It features a 60.48 kWh battery pack and offers a claimed range of up to 521 kilometers on a single charge. The vehicle is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 201 bhp and 310 Nm of torque.
In terms of design, the ATTO 3 has a modern exterior with LED lighting and a distinctive front grille. The interior includes a rotating 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster. Safety features comprise seven airbags, ABS with EBD, and various driver assistance systems.
BYD India has introduced different variants of the ATTO 3, including a Cosmos Black edition. The company has reported significant bookings for these new variants within a short period. To attract more customers, BYD India has extended the introductory pricing offer for the Dynamic variant of the ATTO 3.
The ATTO 3 competes in the premium electric SUV segment in India, positioning itself as an option for consumers interested in electric mobility.
