Bharat Stars Services Private Limited (BSSPL), a joint venture between Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and ST Airport Services Pte. Ltd (STARS), has partnered with Netradyne to deploy an AI-powered driver safety platform across its aviation fuelling fleet operating at the airports in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Under the partnership, BSSPL will implement Netradyne's Driver•i platform across its fleet of aviation fuelling vehicles. The edge AI-based system analyses driving behaviour throughout vehicle operations using computer vision technology to improve safety in airport ground handling operations.
According to the company, the platform is designed to identify signs of driver fatigue, drowsiness and distraction, while issuing real-time in-cab alerts to help drivers respond before incidents occur. It also provides collision warnings for vehicles operating in proximity to aircraft, ground support equipment and airport personnel on the tarmac.
In addition to detecting unsafe driving behaviour, the system includes Netradyne's GreenZone safety scoring framework, which recognises and tracks positive driving practices. The scoring mechanism enables fleet operators to benchmark driver performance and monitor safety trends across operations.

BSSPL provides in-plane fuelling services, fuel farm management and aviation fuel solutions at airports including Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The company said the deployment is intended to strengthen operational safety across its airside fuelling activities, where vehicles operate in proximity to active aircraft under strict operating conditions.
