Borzo (formerly WeFast), a global intracity same-day delivery service, has launched a 3-wheeler and truck delivery service, marking an expansion into the larger delivery segment. This move aims to cater to heavier shipments and offer more flexibility for businesses in key metro cities.

The new delivery service will initially be available in Mumbai, with plans to expand to Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune. By the end of 2024, Borzo intends to onboard 1,500 couriers using a mix of 3-wheelers and Tata Aces. This service will allow the company to handle larger and bulkier deliveries such as furniture, repair parts, and groceries for B2B clients.

Borzo aims to reach 500 3-wheeler and truck deliveries per day by 2025 as part of its strategy to capture a larger share of the B2B logistics market. The company seeks to provide a balanced option in terms of cost and service speed, offering businesses a flexible alternative to existing logistics providers.

The new fleet of 3-wheelers and trucks will integrate into Borzo’s existing operations, which currently rely on 2-wheelers. Couriers will continue to work as gig workers or part of small fleets, managing on-demand and end-of-day orders through Borzo’s app. Initially, the fleet will consist of traditional 3-wheelers, with plans to include electric vehicle partners in the future. The couriers will own their vehicles and work with flexible schedules to maintain high operational efficiency.

To attract B2B clients, Borzo will offer promotional codes to keep prices competitive as it establishes a presence in the 3-wheeler and truck delivery market.

Alina Kisina, CEO of Borzo, commented, “The introduction of 3-wheelers and trucks into our fleet is a response to the growing demand for more versatile and cost-effective delivery solutions. With the expansion, we aim to better serve businesses needing larger shipments while enhancing our B2B presence.”
