Bolt.Earth Partners with MapmyIndia to Boost EV Charger Discovery
Bolt.Earth has integrated approximately 350 Level 2 and Level 3 chargers into the MapmyIndia app, with MapmyIndia users now able to discover more than 18,000 EV chargers nationwide through the platform's maps and navigation services.
Bolt.Earth, India's largest EV charging network, has announced a strategic collaboration with MapmyIndia (MMI) aimed at making its four-wheeler EV chargers more accessible to drivers across the country.
The partnership allows MMI users to directly locate Bolt.Earth's standard Level 2 chargers and DC fast chargers within the MapmyIndia app, expanding visibility for charger owners and giving riders access to charging options beyond the Bolt.Earth platform. MapmyIndia's integration with map and navigation services is also expected to extend Bolt.Earth's charger visibility across multiple platforms used by EV drivers in India.
Through the Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI) protocol, Bolt.Earth has integrated approximately 350 Level 2 and Level 3 chargers into the MapmyIndia app. The two companies said they are working together, through OCPI integration and API sharing, to help MapmyIndia platform users locate and access EV charging points.
The companies said the expanded discoverability is intended to support India's EV ecosystem and provide drivers with a more seamless charging experience.
Bolt.Earth is India's largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network, with more than 100,000 chargers deployed across over 2,000 cities. Founded in 2017, the company has grown from building connected IoT solutions into a vertically integrated EV ecosystem spanning hardware, software, manufacturing, deployment and services. Its open network supports two-, three- and four-wheelers with both standard and fast-charging options, powered by the Bolt.Earth mobile app, which enables a scan-pay-charge experience and allows charger owners to generate passive income. The company is supported by its proprietary Charger Management System (CMS) and works with various OEMs and ecosystem partners.
