BMW Opens Pre-Bookings for X1 Long Wheelbase Ahead of Launch

BMW India officially opened pre-launch bookings for its new BMW X1 Long Wheelbase (LWB) on Monday, ahead of its scheduled market launch in India on August 21, 2026.
BMW X1 LWB: Chennai Assembly and Booking Details
The stretched luxury SUV will be locally assembled at the BMW Group Plant in Chennai. Prospective buyers can place reservations across the authorized BMW India dealership network or register their interest online through the brand's official portal.
Positioned as the most spacious vehicle in its segment, the long-wheelbase variant extends rear cabin space while maintaining the model's existing characteristics. BMW said that they aim to set a new benchmark within the entry-level luxury SUV category with the X1 LWB.
