BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase Gets New Colour and Upholstery Options

BMW India has expanded the customization options for its iX1 Long Wheelbase electric SUV, introducing a new exterior colour and premium upholstery choices. The locally-produced vehicle is now available for booking at BMW dealerships across the country starting today.

The iX1 Long Wheelbase now offers Night Dusk Blue metallic as a new paint option, bringing the total colour palette to four choices including Carbon Black, Mineral White, and Skyscraper Grey. The deep blue finish adds a refined aesthetic to the electric SUV's exterior design.

Interior updates include two new upholstery options made from sustainably sourced vegan leather: Veganza Smoke White + Atlas Grey Dual Tone and Veganza Castanea. Both feature distinctive 3D stitching patterns designed to enhance the cabin's premium feel. The upholstery follows BMW's "Cocooning Effect" philosophy, extending the chosen colour across seats, door panels, dashboard, and speaker mesh to create a cohesive interior environment.

The iX1 Long Wheelbase has emerged as BMW India's top-selling electric model and the highest-selling premium electric vehicle in the country within less than a year of its launch. The company has been adapting the product to market demands, previously adding features like a Surround View Camera.

Measuring 4,616 mm in length with a 2,800 mm wheelbase, the iX1 Long Wheelbase is among the longest five-seater SUVs available in India. It is powered by fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology, producing 204 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The integrated 66.4 kWh lithium-ion battery provides a claimed driving range of up to 531 kilometers on a single charge under MIDC test conditions. The vehicle also features adaptive recuperation and one-pedal driving capability for enhanced efficiency.
