The BMW F 450 GS has made its public debut at EICMA 2025. The bike was revealed yesterday by BMW Motorrad CEO Markus Flasch in a teaser video. This new adventure motorcycle will replace the now-discontinued G 310 GS as the brand’s entry-level ADV, and like its predecessor, it will be manufactured in India by TVS.

The BMW F 450 GS is powered by an all-new 450cc parallel-twin engine, marking a significant step up from the single-cylinder motor used in the older 310 GS. The company had previously confirmed that this engine produces around 48hp, giving it a healthy advantage over the outgoing model.

Visually, the production spec F 450 GS closely resembles the concept shown at EICMA 2024. It gets a quad-LED DRL setup inspired by the larger R 1300 GS, a single front disc brake, and a golden USD fork. Wire-spoke wheels are expected to be seen on the the top-spec variant. A 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup with tubeless tyres is expected on all variants.

In terms of positioning, the F 450 GS slots as the entry point into BMW’s GS adventure lineup, sitting below the F 800 GS and R 1300 GS. The bike’s development in partnership with TVS ensures that it will be locally produced, helping BMW offer competitive pricing in global markets, including India.

When launched in India, the F 450 GS will compete in an increasingly crowded midsize adventure bike segment, going up against rivals such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure, and Honda NX500.
