Electric mobility ride-hailing service BluSmart has introduced a tipping feature on its app, allowing riders to tip their driver partners. As part of the festive campaign #RideToCelebrate, BluSmart will match every tip given by riders, effectively doubling the amount credited to the driver’s weekly payout. Riders will be notified when BluSmart matches their tip.

The feature is aimed at providing an easy way for riders to show appreciation for their drivers. Anirudh Arun, co-founder and CEO of BluSmart Fleet, said, “Our driver partners are the backbone of this experience... by matching the tips our customers give, we're adding to the joy and making every journey a #RidetoCelebrate.”

Founded in 2019, BluSmart is a south Asian electric, full-stack, vertically integrated EV ride hailing service and EV charging infrastructure network. BluSmart operates in Delhi NCR and Bangalore and made its first international foray with its launch in UAE in June 2024 as a premium all-electric limousine service.  BluSmart has been granted a US patent for its pioneering allocation system for electric mobility by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
