Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) has extended its partnership with Cricket Australia for another three years, continuing as the naming rights partner for the Golden Cap awards in the Big Bash League (BBL) until the end of the 2028-29 season. The renewal takes the partnership beyond 10 years, making it one of the league's longest-running commercial associations.
BKT has been an official partner of the Big Bash League since 2018. Under the renewed agreement, the company will continue its association with the BBL's Golden Bat and Golden Arm awards while supporting fan engagement initiatives linked to the tournament.
The company said the extension reflects its continued focus on the Australian market, where cricket remains one of the country's most followed sports. Australia is a strategic market for BKT, which manufactures off-highway tyres and recently announced its entry into India's two-wheeler, passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle tyre segments.
"The extension of the partnership with the BBL has continued to evolve since 2018, bringing us to achieve significant milestones together. Australia remains a strategic market for BKT, and cricket is one of the country's most popular and passionately followed sports," said Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director, BKT.
According to Cricket Australia, the partnership will continue to support the Golden Bat and Golden Arm awards across the men's and women's Big Bash competitions, as well as fan engagement initiatives such as BKT Big Bash Tipping.
