BikeWo Partners with Yubhas Renewables for Solar-Assisted E-3W Pilot
The joint venture initiates commercial testing of clean tech transport systems to assess fleet economics and vehicle reliability across rural and semi-urban networks.
BikeWo Green Tech Limited has signed an operational agreement with Yubhas Renewables Private Limited to begin field validation of solar-assisted electric three-wheelers. The pilot program will utilize BikeWo's existing last-mile logistics and rider distribution networks to test the vehicles under real-world commercial workloads before commencing a wider national market launch.
The field trial is structured to monitor key engineering benchmarks, evaluating metrics such as battery degradation curves, real-world driving range, thermal performance, payload limitations, braking mechanics, and daily operating expenditures. Operational telemetry and driver feedback generated across the pilot route will be used by Yubhas Renewables to finalize engineering calibrations, focusing on reducing total cost of ownership and ensuring mechanical reliability for commercial use cases.
Hiten Pal Saklani, CEO of BikeWo Green Tech Limited, stated that the partnership allows the company to test alternative energy configurations within active commercial operations to identify new operational efficiencies. Sai Satyam Pradhan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Yubhas Renewables, noted that the field trial provides the operational data necessary to refine the vehicles for commercial viability, with the long-term goal of building scalable transport systems tailored to the specific infrastructure demands of rural and semi-urban markets.
