EV mobility company Bijliride currently has 20 active franchise partners across India and is targeting a network of 50 partners by the end of Q3. Another 20 franchise partnerships are nearing closure, as the company expands its franchise-led operating model across the country.
Most of Bijliride’s existing franchise partners are concentrated in adoption hubs including Hyderabad and Pune. The company plans to focus the second phase of its franchise rollout on Western and Northern India, where it is targeting demand for commercial EV fleets.
Under its existing franchise model, local partners establish and operate EV mobility hubs using Bijliride’s broader ecosystem and operational capabilities. The company is also evaluating alternative partnership structures as it expands into additional markets.
Bijliride Pilots Master Franchise Model In Rajasthan, Maharashtra
Bijliride is piloting a Master Franchise Model in Rajasthan and Maharashtra. The model involves market-level partnerships intended to support expansion across larger geographies while maintaining operational standards and consistency.
The pilot is intended to help Bijliride assess whether the model can be scaled before extending it to other markets. The company said the approach is being evaluated alongside its existing franchise structure rather than as a replacement for it.
Bijliride co-founder and CEO Shivam Sisodiya said the company is using franchising as a route to expand its EV mobility operations across India. He added that the 20 active partners and 20 partnerships nearing closure provide the base for its target of 50 franchises, while the Master Franchise Model is being tested to understand how market-level expansion can be accelerated.

Bijliride’s wider franchise strategy is focused on delivery riders, gig workers and last-mile mobility users. The company plans to continue evaluating partnership models as it works towards expanding its presence across India’s EV mobility market.
Founded in 2021, Bijliride describes itself as a SaaS-powered electric two-wheeler rental platform. The company says it operates a fleet of more than 4,000 EVs across major cities and provides services including battery swapping, on-road support and enterprise fleet management.
