Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has expanded the BharatBenz after-sales network in Uttar Pradesh with the inauguration of three new service workshops in Jhansi, Kabrai and Chitrakoot. The facilities will be operated by PPS Trucking and are aimed at supporting commercial vehicle operations across the Bundelkhand region’s mining and industrial corridors.

The three workshops together add more than 1,10,000 sq ft of service infrastructure and 18 service bays, with a combined annual servicing capacity of around 7,500 vehicles. The expansion is intended to strengthen service access and spare parts availability in a region that sees high heavy-duty truck movement linked to mining and construction activity.

Facility Details

The largest of the three facilities is located in Jhansi along NH 27 on the Kanpur–Jhansi highway. Spread across 40,000 sq ft, the workshop has eight service bays and will cater to vehicles operating between Kanpur, Banda and Gwalior, in addition to trucks serving nearby stone mining areas.

At Kabrai in Mahoba district, BharatBenz has established a seven-bay workshop spread over 60,000 sq ft on NH 34 along the Kanpur–Sagar highway. The facility is positioned to serve trucks operating in Kabrai’s stone mining zone, which is one of the major truck loading hubs in the state.

The third workshop, located at Bharatkoop in Chitrakoot, spans 11,000 sq ft and includes three service bays. It will support truck operators in the Chitrakoot and Karvi mining belts as well as vehicles travelling towards Prayagraj from Madhya Pradesh regions such as Satna and Rewa.

Focus On Mining And Heavy-Duty Trucking

The Bundelkhand region is a significant centre for granite, sandstone, limestone and bauxite mining, generating substantial heavy truck traffic linked to construction and industrial sectors. DICV said the workshops are intended to improve uptime and reduce turnaround times for fleet operators working in these routes.

Rajiv Chaturvedi, President and Chief Business Officer, DICV, said, “In Bundelkhand’s mining and infrastructure belt, every hour a vehicle is off the road is a cost our customers cannot afford. With our expansion into Jhansi, Kabrai, and Chitrakoot, we are putting world-class service and genuine spares exactly where the demand is highest.”

According to the company, the workshops are equipped with diagnostic systems, service tools and genuine BharatBenz spare parts inventory. The network also includes 24x7 roadside assistance supported by five mobile service vans.

Partnership With PPS Trucking

PPS Trucking, which operates across multiple automobile segments in India, will manage the new facilities as part of its partnership with BharatBenz. The workshops will provide scheduled maintenance, preventive servicing, on-site repairs and express service support for BharatBenz trucks and buses.

Rajiv Sanghvi, Managing Director, PPS Trucking, said the expansion would strengthen service support for customers operating across Bundelkhand’s mining and industrial routes.

DICV said the facilities collectively employ 64 trained technicians and also include driver rest areas and customer amenities aimed at improving service experience for long-haul operators.
