Bharat Forge and Agile Robots Sign MoU for AI-Driven Industrial Automation
Indo-German partnership to develop robotic solutions for automotive, healthcare, and consumer electronics sectors.
Bharat Forge Limited and Germany-based Agile Robots S.E. have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore strategic collaboration in AI-driven robotics and intelligent industrial automation. The partnership will focus on deploying solutions for the automotive, healthcare, and consumer electronics industries in India and Southeast Asia.
The collaboration is focused exclusively on civilian industry and manufacturing. Under the MoU, both companies will co-develop and offer customized solutions in manufacturing, industrial consumer packaged goods, and logistics, including existing solutions from Agile Robots for India and Southeast Asian markets.
The partnership will also develop and deploy vision and AI-based robotic solutions to enable fully autonomous factory operations. Bharat Forge will contribute domain expertise while Agile Robots will provide intelligent robots and automation solutions.

The MoU was signed by Baba Kalyani, Chairman and Managing Director, with Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge, alongside Abhijit Moharir, Senior Vice President and Group CIO of Kalyani Group, Keerthi Kiran Gautham, Associate Vice President of Bharat Forge, and representatives from Agile Robots including Rory Sexton, Shomit Manapure, General Manager of Agile Robots North America, Saravanan Solaiappan, Managing Director of Agile Robots India, and Michael Schneider, Managing Director of Ideal Works.
Bharat Forge Limited is a Pune-based technology-driven global manufacturer providing components and solutions for automotive, power, oil and gas, construction and mining, rail, marine, defence, and aerospace sectors. The company has manufacturing operations across five countries. Agile Robots, founded in Munich in 2018, provides automation solutions combining artificial intelligence and robotics.
