BGauss Launches C12 MaxR Electric Scooter

EV maker introduces 178 km range, 3.8 kWh LFP battery pack and integrated in-wheel motor platform.

Electric two-wheeler manufacturer BGauss has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of the C12 MaxR electric scooter, built on the company's modular WSA vehicle platform.

The scooter is powered by a 3.8 kWh LFP battery, with an Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) certified range of 178 km on a single charge. The powertrain delivers 4.2 kW of peak output, a top speed exceeding 75 km/h, and a gradeability rating of 18±2 degrees. The scooter has three ride modes; Eco, Ride, and Sport, as well as a reverse function, and cruise control provided as standard.

BGauss C12 MaxR's HyperZen In-Wheel Motor

Propulsion is provided by the brand's proprietary "HyperZen" in-wheel drive unit, which integrates the motor, gear transmission, braking setup, and Motor Control Unit (MCU) directly at the hub without an external belt or chain drive.

C12 MaxR Colour Options

The C12 MaxR has four paint finishes: Sparkling Wine with Champagne Gold, Terra Green with Champagne Gold, Pearl White, and Satin Black.

C12 MaxR Features, Storage and Display

Utility and electronic equipment include a dual-helmet under-seat storage bay, a pop-out umbrella holder, dedicated phone and bottle compartments, and wireless smartphone charging. Instrumentation is managed via a 5-inch TFT display.

C12 MaxR Specifications: Wheels, Suspension, Brakes and Payload

The scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, supported by a hydraulic telescopic front fork and a five-step adjustable Nitrox gas-charged rear suspension. Braking hardware comprises a 220 mm front disc with rear combi-brakes and regenerative braking. The scooter offers 160 mm of ground clearance and a rated payload capacity of 150 kg.
