Bartronics India Limited, a rural financial inclusion and technology company, has appointed Dr. Raja Krishna Murthy M as Head of Agri Tech Business to lead the expansion of its agricultural technology and climate-focused initiatives.
The appointment supports Bartronics' Project Avio Agritech, an integrated platform aimed at generating revenue through agri-commerce, sustainable agriculture, digital advisory services, and carbon and climate solutions. The company plans to leverage its existing rural infrastructure, which connects with approximately 40 million farmers across 5,000 villages.
Dr. Raja holds a Ph.D. in Agribusiness Management and brings 21 years of experience in agribusiness transformation, climate-smart agriculture, and carbon market operations. He has worked with international organizations including UNICEF, the World Bank, USAID, and the Asian Development Bank, managing programs across Asia, Africa, and Latin America that have reached over one million farmers.
His portfolio includes carbon reduction projects compliant with VERRA, VCS, and Gold Standard frameworks. Dr. Raja has directly impacted approximately 280,000 farmers through various agriculture and sustainability initiatives.
