Bajaj Auto has launched the new Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 in Pune starting at ₹92,990 and ₹1,15,233, ex-showroom, respectively, as part of a motorcycle portfolio refresh expected to bring 10 new or updated models to market before the festive season.

The launch follows the introduction of the Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS on August 7, the first product launch since Bajaj outlined the six-week rollout during its Q1 FY27 analyst call. The company has said two of the 10 models would be all-new Pulsars, while the rest would comprise new variants and product upgrades.

“Our 150 and 125 are the second launch in this journey,” said Sumeet Narang, President, Marketing, Bajaj Auto. “We will meet you soon again. There’s a lot of stuff that we will still be coming up with in the coming days.”

Pulsar Portfolio Takes Shape

The launch comes as the Pulsar nameplate remains one of India’s largest-selling motorcycle ranges. It ranked third in the July motorcycle sales chart with 66,156 units dispatched, down 17% from 79,817 units a year earlier, according to AutoPunditz.

Bajaj’s sports motorcycle segment, meanwhile, grew about 50% year on year in the April-June quarter, with Pulsar, Avenger and Dominar recording double-digit growth. The company has also said upgrades are planned across its 125-160cc motorcycle range.

Narang said the refreshed range will be organised around three Pulsar platforms. “Three very clear distinct platforms, the original, the N and the NS,” he said, with each aimed at a different customer and riding use case.

Pulsar 125, 150 Specifications and Features

The new Pulsar 125 and 150 use an all-new diamond-type frame with the engine acting as a stressed member, replacing the outgoing double-cradle-type architecture. Both get a rear monoshock, revised styling, LED lighting and a new gearbox. The 150 makes 14 PS, while the 125 develops 12 PS, with power-to-weight ratios improved to 100 PS/tonne and 93 PS/tonne, respectively.

Both motorcycles also get three ride modes, Crawl Technology and a five-inch TFT display with Google Maps on higher variants. Bajaj has priced the Pulsar 150 up to ₹1.23 lakh and the Pulsar 125 up to ₹1.04 lakh, depending on variant.

Bajaj's Manufacturing Capacity Expansion Plans

The launches come ahead of Bajaj’s planned expansion of annual manufacturing capacity from about 7.2 million vehicles to more than 9 million. The company has said the additional capacity will support growing demand across electric vehicles, premium motorcycles, exports and selected ICE products. It is evaluating brownfield expansion and a greenfield facility, with the location and investment yet to be finalised.

The company has not yet declared any dispatch dates.
