Bajaj Auto Launches ‘WEGO’ Electric 3W Range Starting at Rs 3.11 Lakh

WEGO's portfolio offers a maximum certified range of up to 296 km, depending on the model.

Bajaj Auto Ltd. on Tuesday launched a new portfolio of electric three-wheelers under the ‘WEGO’ brand, marking its entry with a multi-variant lineup across passenger and cargo segments.

The WEGO range includes passenger models across the P50, P70 and P90 series, along with cargo variants under the C90 series. The company said the portfolio offers a maximum certified range of up to 296 km, depending on the model.

The range starts at Rs. 3.11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and goes up to Rs. 4.48 lakh for higher-end variants. All models come with a five-year warranty and access to the company’s sales and service network of over 1,500 touchpoints.

In the passenger segment, the P50 series (P5009, P5012) is aimed at intra-city and contract carriage operations, offering ranges of 213 km and 272 km. The P70 series (P7009, P7012) is positioned for shared commuting, with ranges of 182 km and 259 km. The higher-capacity P90 series (P9018) is designed for longer-distance and semi-urban use, with a range of 296 km.

Cargo variants C9009 and C9012 are intended for last-mile goods transport, offering ranges of 149 km and 207 km, respectively.

The vehicles are powered by an electric drivetrain with a two-speed automatic transmission, regenerative braking and a battery management system. Features include Bluetooth connectivity, a digital LCD display, hill hold and climb mode.

According to the company, the new platform is intended to address varying requirements across urban, semi-urban and rural mobility use cases, including passenger transport and cargo movement.
