Bajaj Auto Launches ₹4.41 Lakh WEGO P9018, India's Longest-Range Electric Three-Wheeler

Pune-based Bajaj Auto Ltd. announced the launch of its WEGO P9018 electric three-wheeler on February 9, 2026, marking a significant expansion in the company's electric mobility portfolio. The vehicle claims the distinction of being India's longest-range electric three-wheeler with a certified range of 296 kilometers on a single charge.

The WEGO P9018 is powered by a 17.7 kWh battery, the largest battery pack currently available in India's electric three-wheeler segment. The extended range is achieved through a combination of the high-capacity battery, an upgraded Battery Management System (BMS), regenerative braking technology, and optimized vehicle design.

Designed for medium to long-distance operations, the vehicle features a two-speed transmission and 36% gradability, enabling it to handle varied terrain conditions. The manufacturer offers a five-year warranty on the vehicle, targeting operators in urban, semi-urban, and rural markets who require high passenger and luggage carrying capacity.

Samardeep Subandh, President of Bajaj Auto's Intra-City Business Unit, emphasized that the WEGO P9018 addresses the need for large-capacity three-wheelers with extended range in India's last-mile commuting market.

The vehicle is priced at ₹4,41,247 (ex-showroom, pan-India). The WEGO brand represents Bajaj Auto's heritage in passenger mobility solutions, continuing the company's position as the world's largest manufacturer of three-wheelers.

Bajaj Auto has exported over 21 million motorcycles to more than 100 countries and holds the position of India's leading motorcycle exporter. The company recently became the first two-wheeler manufacturer globally to achieve a market capitalization of ₹2 trillion.
