Automobile Corporation of Goa Posts 57% Revenue Jump in Q2 FY26

For the six months ended September 30, 2025, ACGL reported total income of ₹471.18 crore, a 38.16% increase from ₹341.03 crore in the same period last year.

Automobile Corporation of Goa Posts 57% Revenue Jump in Q2 FY26

Automobile Corporation of Goa Limited (ACGL) reported strong financial performance for the second quarter of fiscal year 2025-26, with total income reaching Rs. 210.43 crore, up 57.4% from Rs. 133.71 crore in Q2 FY25.

The company's profit before tax (PBT) surged to Rs. 19.66 crore, with PBT margin improving to 9.34% from 7.22% in the year-ago quarter. Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter doubled to Rs. 24.03 from Rs. 12.05 in Q2 FY25, representing a 99.4% year-on-year increase.

EBITDA for Q2 came in at Rs. 21.09 crore, with margins expanding to 10.02% from 8.07% in Q2 FY25.

For the six months ended September 30, 2025, ACGL reported total income of Rs. 471.18 crore, up from Rs. 341.03 crore in the corresponding period last year. Half-year EPS stood at Rs. 61.93, compared to Rs. 41.48 in the previous year.

Operational Performance

ACGL demonstrated robust operational growth, delivering 1,966 bus bodies during the quarter ending September 30, 2025—a 47.6% increase from 1,332 units in the same quarter of the previous financial year.

The company achieved a historic milestone during the quarter by manufacturing its 100,000th bus since inception.

"The company pursued opportunities from State Transport Undertaking orders through active participation in Q2 of FY26 to utilize capacity during the lean period, supporting improved profitability," the company stated in its press release.

In line with its "Net Zero" commitment, ACGL has successfully installed and commissioned a 810 kWp solar power plant at its Jejuri facility. The company is also implementing a solar power project at its Goa facility, expected to be completed within the current financial year.

Following the National Company Law Tribunal-approved Composite Scheme of Arrangement effective October 1, 2025, Tata Motors Limited's 48.98% stake in ACGL (29,82,214 shares) has been transferred to TML Commercial Vehicles Limited as part of the demerger of Tata Motors' commercial vehicles business.

Automobile Corporation of Goa Limited was jointly promoted by Tata Motors Limited and the Government of Goa, marking the first major engineering unit in the state. The company operates through two main divisions: manufacturing bus bodies and coaches, and producing sheet metal components, pressed parts, and assemblies for commercial vehicles. ACGL operates with a bus-building capacity of 10,000 units annually.
