Indian auto’s record highs: As the Indian car market continues to scale new peaks new and clearer market trends are emerging. While SUVs and crossovers are making gains everywhere, small cars and hatchbacks are not in a mood to give up territory so easily despite the fact that one in every two vehicles sold in FY24 was an SUV.

What the country witnessed was the growth of SUVs by over 28% to 2.1 million units with more than 50% of them being above four metres. Interestingly, vehicle prices, which had already gone up by 25-30% post Covid-19, witnessed another year of 11% appreciation. Betting big on Hydrogen

A shot in the arm for green hydrogen production in India as the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) has received thirteen technical bids for pilot projects for the use of green hydrogen in the transport sector. ARAI, the implementing agency for these projects, is currently conducting a technical evaluation of the proposals. Meanwhile, an allocation of Rs 496 crore has been made for green hydrogen and other related projects until 2025-26.
