Audi Q9 Price, Availability and India Launch Timeline

Audi has unveiled the Q9, expanding its model portfolio at the top end with its largest SUV to date. Manufactured in Bratislava, the full-size vehicle is available to order in Germany from late July 2026, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in November. Pricing starts at 108,400 euros for the base Q9 TDI 220 kW model. The Q9 is set to launch in India in the second quarter of 2027 and is rumoured to be locally assembled in the country.

Audi Q9 Dimensions and Seating Configuration

Measuring 5.31 meters in length, 2.21 meters in width, and 1.81 meters in height, with a 3.14-meter wheelbase, the Q9 offers both seven-seat and optional six-seat interior configurations. The seven-seat variant features three second-row seats with Isofix mounting points, while the six-seat configuration includes individual electrically adjustable seats in the second row.

Audi Q9 Technology, Safety and Powertrain Highlights

Technological features introduced on the model include third-generation curved digital OLED rear lights featuring 512 total segments across six panels, automatic entry doors equipped with obstacle detection, and the largest panoramic sunroof fitted to an Audi model to date, covering over 1.5 square meters. The driver assistance suite includes "Adaptive Driving Assistant Plus," enabling partially automated hands-free driving up to 130 km/h on approved highway segments in Germany, the United States, and Canada.

At launch, the vehicle is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine producing 220 kW (299 PS) and 630 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed tiptronic transmission and permanent quattro all-wheel drive. The powertrain incorporates a 48-volt MHEV plus mild-hybrid system, providing up to 18 kW (24 PS) of electric boost, alongside an electrically driven compressor (EPC). A lower-output 180 kW (245 PS) variant will also be made available in select European markets. Chassis equipment includes adaptive air suspension with an overall ride-height adjustment range of 90 mm and optional all-wheel steering offering up to 5 degrees of rear-wheel angle.
