Tarun Mehta, Co-Founder and CEO of Ather Energy, took to microblogging platform X on Friday to announce its name, "Rizta," which is a family scooter that the EV maker will use to increase its addressable market that will compete with the TVS iQube, Hero Vida V1 Pro, and Bajaj Chetak in the sub-Rs 1.3 lakh category, accounting for the FAME 2 subsidy benefits.
Mehta stated on X, "Ather Rizta—the one for your family. With Rizta, we will be taking a big leap in comfort and safety. Rizta will also continue to maintain the same quality and reliability that Ather’s other products are known for. We will be unveiling ‘Ather Rizta’ at ACDC 24—Ather Community Day Celebration 2024."
Ather Rizta is sure to pique the interest of electric vehicle enthusiasts and families alike, he said, adding, "Stay tuned for additional updates as Ather Energy prepares for an electrifying 2024." Tarun said this while teasing the vehicle's release without providing an exact date.
