Ather Records Three Lakh Sales for Rizta Scooter

The electric two wheeler accounted for 76 percent of the total sales volume for the manufacturer in the 2026 financial year.

Ather Energy announced that its Rizta electric scooter has surpassed the three lakh unit sales mark within two years of its market introduction in April 2024. The manufacturer reported that the model achieved its first one lakh sales in 11 months, reached the two lakh milestone by December 2025, and added another one lakh units over the subsequent five months.

The model has become the highest volume driver for the company, accounting for 76 percent of its total sales portfolio in the 2026 financial year. Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, noted that the product helped the brand secure a leadership position in southern India while significantly expanding its market share in the central and western regions.

The scooter features 56 liters of total storage capacity alongside safety integrations such as skid control technology. According to vehicle registration data, Ather Energy expanded its market share by four times in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha, rising from 4.1 percent in the first quarter of the 2025 financial year to 17.3 percent by the fourth quarter of the 2026 financial year. The company also recorded a threefold market share growth in northern states including Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
