Ather Energy Chief Executive Officer Tarun Mehta announced that the electric two-wheeler manufacturer will launch a mass-market scooter built on an all-new vehicle platform during its annual Community Day event on August 29.

Ather's Shift From Early Adopters to Mass-Market EVs

The upcoming rollout marks a strategic shift for the company as it expands beyond early-adopter positioning toward broader mainstream adoption. Mehta noted that a decade of sustained investment in core architecture and proprietary technology has prepared electric two-wheelers for large-scale market penetration.

Ather's New Platform Targets Resale Value, Servicing and Safety

The new platform is designed to address core mass-market requirements, including long-term resale value, servicing turnarounds, ride comfort on poor road surfaces, fast-charging access, and hardware and software safety features.

Ather Energy plans to reveal additional product and technology updates alongside the new vehicle platform during the August showcase.
