Ather Energy announced on Wednesday that it has crossed 700 Experience Centres across India, having added over 350 new outlets in FY26 — effectively doubling its retail network from 351 centres recorded as of March 31, 2025.

The Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer said the expansion contributed to its national market share climbing to 18.7% in March 2026, according to Vahan registration data. The company attributed a significant portion of its volume growth to the Ather Rizta, a family-oriented scooter launched in 2024, which has cumulatively sold over 2.8 lakh units since its introduction.

The retail push in FY26 was concentrated in what Ather terms "Middle India" — comprising Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha — as well as other regions outside its established southern stronghold. The company said these geographies recorded nearly a twofold increase in market share over the period. Expansion into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities was also cited as part of the broader strategy.

Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, said the retail scale-up was a deliberate growth lever, with Middle India receiving particularly aggressive attention. He added that the company sees further room for expansion and intends to continue on the same trajectory over the coming quarters.

Beyond retail, Ather said it crossed 500 authorised service centres last month. Its proprietary fast-charging network, Ather Grid, stood at over 4,357 charging points globally as of December 31, 2025.
