ASIABRAKE 2024 unveils insights and discussions on Future of Mobility and Brake Systems Engineering

ASIABRAKE 2024, the 10th Annual Conference & Exhibition, commenced today at The Leela Ambience Gurugram, Delhi NCR, India, bringing together industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts to explore advancements and trends in brake systems engineering. The event featured leading OEMs and component manufacturers from domestic and international markets, including Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Brakes India Private Limited, Brembo Brake India, and Hitachi Astemo India Ltd.

During the opening addresses, Kuldip Singh Rathee, Chairman and Managing Director of ASK Automotive Limited, and Advisory Board member of ASIABRAKE, emphasised India's innovation and economic growth in the automotive sector. He highlighted ASK Automotive's leadership in 2W Advanced Braking Systems and its commitment to sustainability and technological advancement.

Aman Rathee, Executive Director at ASK Automotive Limited and General Chair of ASIABRAKE's Steering Committee, welcomed attendees to the conference, promising a diverse range of discussions on business, strategic planning, and technological advancements. Dr. Hanif Qureshi, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India, delivered the keynote address.

The conference featured interactive discussions led by prominent figures in the automotive sector. Dr. Tapan Sahoo from Maruti Suzuki India Limited led a panel on the "Future of Mobility in India: OEM," envisioning a future shaped by autonomous, connected, electric, and shared mobility solutions.

A panel discussion on "Current Market Trends for Electric, Hybrid, and ICE Vehicles" highlighted the global shift towards electric vehicles, featuring experts from the EU Commission, Zoox, Link China, and the Thailand EV Association.

Another panel discussed "Current Market Trends in India: Tier 1," with representatives from Hitachi Astemo India Ltd, Brakes India Private Limited, and Brembo Brake India, focusing on carbon neutrality, safety enhancements, and the growing penetration of EVs across segments.

ASIABRAKE 2024 provided attendees with networking opportunities and a platform to explore innovative solutions showcased by industry leaders in the exhibition setup, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants.
