Ashok Leyland wins VRL Logistics’ order for 1,560 AVTR trucks

Ashok Leyland wins VRL Logistics’ order for 1,560 AVTR trucks

In one of the largest single orders for heavy commercial vehicles, Ashok Leyland has received an order of 1,560 trucks from VRL Logistics, one of the largest logistics companies in India. This order is for the AVTR 3120 and AVTR 4420 TT models of Ashok Leyland.

Built on the latest AVTR modular truck platform, offering flexibility of multiple cab and feature options, the AVTR 3120 is powered by Ashok Leyland’s 200hp engine with iGen6 technology which delivers better fluid efficiency. It is available in cowl and three cabin options (N Cab, U cab, M cab) and has loading span options ranging from 24’ to 32’. The AVTR trucks come bundled with digital solutions like i-Alert (advanced telematics) and remote diagnostics supported by 24x7 customer assistance from the company’s Uptime Solution Centre and Service Mandi network.

According to Ashok Leyland, the AVTR 3120 and AVTR 4420 TT trucks’ advanced features and technologies will help VRL achieve reduced maintenance time, fewer stopovers, and higher efficiency resulting in better uptime and increased profitability.

In FY2023, Ashok Leyland sold a total of 1,03,480 goods-carrying M&HCVs, which constitutes strong 69% year-on-year growth (FY2022: 61,301 units).
