Ashok Leyland Reports 8% Growth in Total Vehicle Sales for July 2025
Commercial vehicle manufacturer sees increase in monthly sales to 15,064 units while maintaining steady cumulative performance
Ashok Leyland recorded total vehicle sales of 15,064 units in July 2025, representing an 8% increase compared to 13,928 units sold in July 2024. The company's cumulative sales for the year reached 59,302 units, marking a 3% growth over the 57,821 units sold in the corresponding period last year.
The company's domestic market performance showed total vehicle sales of 13,501 units in July 2025, up 4% from 12,926 units in July 2024. However, cumulative domestic sales remained flat at 54,728 units compared to 54,485 units in the previous year.
Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle (M&HCV) sales demonstrated varying performance across segments. M&HCV trucks recorded 6,667 units in July 2025, a 4% increase from 6,426 units in July 2024.
The bus segment showed stronger growth with 2,862 units sold in July 2025, representing a 42% increase from 2,014 units in the same month last year.
Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) sales reached 5,535 units in July 2025, compared to 5,488 units in July 2024, indicating a 1% growth. Cumulative LCV sales for the year stood at 21,702 units, up 1% from 21,496 units in the previous year.
The company's export performance contributed to the overall growth, with the difference between total sales and domestic sales indicating export volumes. M&HCV bus exports showed particular strength, contributing to the 42% growth in the overall bus category.
