Ashok Leyland Opens Third Light Commercial Vehicle Dealership in Bengaluru
Commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland announced Sunday the opening of a new dealership for Light Commercial Vehicles in Bengaluru, expanding its presence in Karnataka state.
The facility, operated by channel partner Sanvit Motors, is located at Dodda Amanikere on Old Madras Road near Hoskote Toll Gate. It represents the company's third LCV dealership in Bengaluru and 11th in Karnataka.
The new dealership offers a 3S facility providing sales, service, and spare parts for Ashok Leyland's LCV product range, which includes the BADA DOST, DOST, SAATHI, PARTNER, and MiTR models. The facility features advanced tools, quick service bays, and modern infrastructure according to the company.
Viplav Shah, Head of LCV Business at Ashok Leyland, stated that Karnataka represents an important market for the company and the new dealership reflects their commitment to strengthening their presence in the region.
Ashok Leyland, part of the Hinduja Group, currently has over 600,000 light commercial vehicles operating across India. The company earlier this year entered the sub-2-ton segment with the launch of its SAATHI model, which features a 45 HP engine and 1,120 kg payload capacity.
The company's LCV portfolio spans multiple weight categories. The BADA DOST range includes five variants built on what the company describes as an all-new LCV platform, powered by an 80 HP BS6 engine. The PARTNER model serves the 4-ton payload segment with both 4-tire and 6-tire configurations, while the MiTR bus is offered in staff and school bus variants.
Ashok Leyland positions itself as one of India's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, focusing on the light commercial vehicle segment that serves various transportation and logistics needs across the country.
