The cumulative sales in this category also surged 35%, rising from 9,493 to 12,777 units.

The Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment showed a contrasting trend. Domestic sales dropped by 14% in November 2024, with 4,560 units sold compared to 5,294 units in November 2023. Year-to-date, this category saw a modest 3% decline, from 43,461 units last year to 42,164 units this year.

In combined domestic and export performance, Ashok Leyland saw an 8% growth in total M&HCV sales for November 2024, with 9,176 units compared to 8,500 in November 2023. Notably, exports contributed to a 3% increase in M&HCV truck sales, reaching 7,149 units. The M&HCV bus category continued to grow internationally, achieving a 29% rise in sales for the month and a 24% cumulative growth over the year. Meanwhile, total LCV sales across domestic and export markets declined by 11% in November, with 4,961 units sold, and the cumulative figure fell by 2% year-on-year.
