Apollo Tyres has received an A- leadership rating from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for both Climate Change and Water Security categories, announced on December 12, 2025. The rating places the company among high-performing organizations in environmental disclosure and action globally.
The achievement represents substantial advancement for Apollo Tyres, which received an initial CDP Climate Change score of D in 2020. By 2023, the company had expanded its disclosures to include water security and earned a B- rating. The current A- rating reflects improved governance, risk management, and emissions reduction efforts.
The CDP provides a standardized platform for measuring and disclosing environmental impacts. Approximately 25,000 companies worldwide participate in CDP disclosures as of 2025, making the A- leadership designation a competitive achievement.
Rajeev Kumar Sinha, Chief Manufacturing Officer at Apollo Tyres, stated that the rating demonstrates the company's dedication to environmental stewardship and progress toward a low-carbon, water-secure future. He emphasized the company's commitment to driving action and transparency across operations.
Apollo Tyres has committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050, intending to balance greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain. The company plans to disclose absolute-based emission commitments for the near term soon, forming the foundation of its decarbonization roadmap.
The rating recognizes Apollo Tyres' work in enhancing environmental governance, strengthening risk and opportunity management, advancing emissions reduction, setting science-aligned targets, and deepening stakeholder engagement throughout its value chain.
Apollo Tyres operates as an international tyre manufacturer with multiple manufacturing units in India and facilities in the Netherlands and Hungary. The company markets products under the Apollo and Vredestein brands across more than 100 countries.
