Apollo Tyres Appoints R Mahalakshmi As Chief Human Resources Officer
Former Mondelez executive brings three decades of global HR experience to the tyre manufacturer.
Apollo Tyres Ltd has appointed R Mahalakshmi as its Chief Human Resources Officer with immediate effect, the company announced today. Mahalakshmi brings nearly three decades of experience across India, Africa, the UK and Southeast Asia to the leading Indian tyre manufacturer.
As a member of Apollo Tyres' Global Executive Committee, Mahalakshmi will shape the company's global people strategy and drive initiatives to maximize organizational effectiveness. She will also work to refresh people policies and strengthen the company's people-first culture.

Before joining Apollo Tyres, Mahalakshmi held senior HR leadership positions at Big 5 consulting firms and leadership roles across telecom, pharmaceutical and FMCG multinational corporations. She was most recently associated with Mondelez International as Head of HR for Southeast Asia and previously served as CHRO India, where she led the function across six countries and 10 manufacturing units.
At Mondelez, Mahalakshmi partnered in a business turnaround while building future-ready talent strategies and shaping organizational culture to support growth. Her experience spans major cultural transformation, leadership development and workforce strategies.

Mahalakshmi will be based at Apollo Tyres' headquarters in Gurugram, India, and will report to Vice Chairman and MD Neeraj Kanwar.
Apollo Tyres is an international tyre manufacturer and the leading tyre brand in India. The company operates multiple manufacturing units in India and has facilities in The Netherlands and Hungary. It markets products under its Apollo and Vredestein brands, which are available in over 100 countries.
