Amron Oil Named Operating Partner for Indian Oil Corporation’s Pipavav Bitumen Cell
The joint venture logistics facility in Gujarat initiates bulk distribution to streamline industrial infrastructure supply chains across western regions.
Indian Oil Corporation Limited has selected Amron Oil Resources Private Limited as its official operating partner for the Pipavav Bitumen Cell located in Gujarat. Amron Oil Resources operates as a 50:50 joint venture established between publicly listed petroleum firm GP Petroleums Limited and West Coast Oils LLP.
The industrial distribution setup was formalized under Indian Oil Corporation's internal operational efficiency initiative, designated as the SPRINT 2026 Mission Excellence program. Commercial dispatches of bulk bitumen from the regional facility officially commenced following a flag-off event led by John Prasad K., Country Head of Industrial Business at IndianOil's marketing head office.
The Pipavav facility is positioned to manage the regional logistics and distribution of specialized infrastructure inputs, including bitumen emulsions, polymer modified bitumen, and crumb rubber modified bitumen. Utilizing the strategic port access available at Pipavav, the joint venture cell is intended to streamline transport logistics and optimize the bulk supply chain for ongoing road building and public infrastructure projects across Gujarat and its adjacent territories.
